This book has make me understood how fortunate i was. Being able to have the love and support from my family and friends, i am truely grateful. But sadly, all these love and support does not seems to be presence on everybody. Ever since i read the book by this amazing and inspiring author, Adeline Yen Mah, i start to be grateful and cherish the things life. From what i have read, Adeline's mother passed away after giving birth to her. After this situation, her family members start to said that she brings 'bad luck' or 'cursed' to the people. Hence, people do not show much attention towards him. Her father remarried to a young French-Asian lady. The stepmother and father do not show much love affection towards Adeline but instead, they show more love to Adeline's sibling. What really admired me was her persistence towards academics. She strive hard in her studies in order to get medal for academics success. This really inspire me to do well in studies. She is someone i looked up to.
